Trevor Jones Artist
Trevor Jones is a Canadian-born artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art with a First Class MA (Hons) in Fine Art, his practice combines traditional painting with emerging technologies, challenging what a painting can be and how audiences experience it.
Since 2012, Jones has incorporated QR codes, augmented reality, blockchain and artificial intelligence into his work, continually experimenting with new ways to bring art beyond the canvas. His internationally recognised practice spans painting, sculpture, digital art and immersive, participatory installations.
His recent work draws on religion, mythology and contemporary culture to examine questions of faith, identity, trust and human agency in an increasingly technological world.
